A warm welcome awaits you at this quaint country inn located in the picturesque village of Sinnington close to the North York Moors National Park and many villages and places of interest. Formerly an 18th-century coaching inn, the stone building has ivy clad walls and throughout the summer is a profusion of colourful hanging baskets and planters. To the rear is an attractive outside eating area with umbrellas, the perfect place to relax and unwind with a drink in the warmer months. The delightful interior is full of nooks and crannies with such traditional features as a wood panelled bar, oak beams with hanging hops, rustic furniture and a cosy log burner for those cooler days. Contemporary decor and lighting have been skilfully incorporated throughout to create a stylish and cosy atmosphere. An elegant private dining room, popular for small parties, is fondly known as The Stables and displays old riding memorabilia. The charming en-suite guest bedrooms are beautifully furnished in fashionable country style to provide first class accommodation and comfort.
The Fox and Hounds has deservedly gained a reputation for its excellent cuisine and has been awarded an AA Rosette for culinary excellence. A team of three talented chefs provide freshly cooked meals of distinction using locally sourced produce whenever possible. The seasonal menu also caters for those with dietary requirements and separate gluten free and dairy free menus are available. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding food preparation and ingredients. The impressive gluten free menu offers starters, main courses, side orders, choice of salads and a selection of tempting desserts and cheeses. There is also a Light Lunch and Early Supper menu with even more to choose from! Options include appetisers, Ploughman’s Platter, light bites and a selection of meat, fish and poultry dishes.
