A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at Nutrition Joe’s family-run healthy eating restaurant located close to Harrogate’s Victoria Shopping Centre. The colourful interior is interestingly designed using natural wood and brick which creates an informal and fun atmosphere. During the warmer months there is outside seating, the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. Named for a family member whose commitment to nutrition and fitness became legendary, Nutrition Joe’s ethos centres around ‘Gambaru’, a Japanese word meaning ‘be the best you can be’. The aim is to provide freshly cooked, nutritious food which is healthy, delicious and good value. NJ’s are proud to have received a Healthier Choices Certification (gold award) by North Yorkshire County Council. This scheme supports businesses who offer a high standard of healthier food choices.
Dietary options are also catered for and clearly marked on the menu including gluten free (GF), vegetarian (V) and vegan (Ve). Nut free and dairy free alternatives can also be provided on request. The helpful and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to advise and answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.
The All Day Breakfast menu offers an impressive range of tasty GF options including all your favourites and a choice of bread. GF lunch options include Soup of the Day, Toasted Sourdough Stacks, 4 Bean Chilli and choice of fresh salads from the deli. Customers can also create their own GF meal – choose from Chargrilled Chicken Breast, Fish of the Day, succulent Sirloin Steak, Fish & Chips and NJ’s Burgers. A variety of hot and cold side dishes are also available.
An extensive drinks list offers a selection of fresh juices and health shakes, all deliciously nutritious. In addition there is a choice of soft drinks, beers and cider (including GF lager), wines and spirits.
