Conveniently located close to the centre of the historic city of Norwich, The Waffle House is an established and popular venue specialising in sweet and savoury Belgian waffles. Set in an attractive Grade 2 listed Georgian building, the café is on two levels and is spacious, bright and airy with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Meals are prepared to order using locally sourced fresh, seasonal, organic and free range ingredients whenever possible. The chefs are passionate about waffles and the variety of irresistible sweet and savoury toppings is truly extraordinary! The menu also offers breakfasts, starters & sides, salads, desserts and a daily specials board plus a selection of award-winning ales, organic beers and ethically sourced wines. Delicious fresh fruit milkshakes and a selection of fair trade coffees are also available. Much emphasis is given to providing vegetarian dishes which are prepared in a dedicated separate area away from meat products. Vegetarian rennet cheese is always used. Those wishing to eat gluten free are also catered for. There is a good selection of GF waffle toppings and these are clearly indicated. GF waffles are available but customers are encouraged to read the allergy advice given on the menu. For anyone with an extreme intolerance rice is recommended as an alternative. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.

We believe that food should be fresh, wholesome and nourishing, as well as delicious.
Great love and care is taken in the preparation of our food and this includes the use of wholefoods and high quality ingredients in our recipes. Both the whole wheat and white flour used in the waffles are organically grown and stoneground. We use high quality vegetable oils and virgin olive oil. For many years we have used organically farmed meats, fresh free-range eggs and chickens and hams from naturally reared pigs. We also try to use organically grown vegetables and salad produce when available, to make our food just that little bit more special.
