Located in the historic village of Leintwardine close to the Shropshire border, this family-run multi award-winning fish and chip takeaway has deservedly gained a wide reputation for its superb fish and chips and excellent customer service. Among most recent awards are a top 3 nomination in the Field to Fryer category in the prestigious National Fish & Chip Awards (2023), and Fry Magazine Best 50 Takeaways Winner for the 4th consecutive year (2019-2022 inclusive). Following a major refurbishment in 2017 the interior is contemporary and immaculate. Environmental issues are foremost with a high efficiency frying range, waste saving technology, and all disposable packaging is plant based and compostable.

The team at Fiddlers Elbow are also passionate about catering for dietary requirements and offer a 100% gluten free menu. Fish is sustainable and responsibly sourced and only the best varieties of potatoes are used. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available and a comprehensive wall allergen chart is prominently displayed. Coeliacs can choose with complete confidence from the fish menu (battered cod, haddock, plaice), meat (sausage, chicken), sides (including gravy, peas, beans, onions, sauces and condiments). There is also a children’s choice. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and advise on menu selection. We are located in the historic village of Kilpeck in the heart of rural Herefordshire.

Kilpeck is renowned for its beautiful Romanesque church just a few minutes walk from the inn. The inn was extensively refurbished in 2009 to extend the dining area and add accommodation, whilst retaining its special character.
