In 2023 the Abbey’s Charitable Trust took over the management of the Orangery Café and Hibiscus Restaurant. The delightful award-winning Orangery Café is open daily and welcomes families and dogs. Head Chef Bart Polinski and his dedicated team are proud to use fresh, locally sourced produce whenever possible to offer an extensive selection of delicious hot and cold meals (breakfast/brunch, snacks, light bites, lunches), premium coffees, teas, and irresistible sweet treats. The impressive menu offers freshly cooked meals expertly prepared with seasonal, premium quality produce sourced from Italy (including DOC parma ham), the UK and many local suppliers. Authentic classic dishes are imaginatively recreated and beautifully presented to your table. The lunchtime menu offers a tempting selection of appetisers, starters, main courses (pasta, chicken, fish, steak), side dishes, desserts (including irresistible homemade tiramisu) and a range of coffees. Even more delights are offered on the À La Carte menu beginning with nibbles and sharing platters (Cicchetti e Grande Piatti), Antipasti, Le Paste e Risotti (delicious pasta dishes using Italian egg pasta served with homemade sauces and parmesan cheese), Secondi Piatti (including succulent chargrilled Herefordshire beef steaks, dry-aged for 28 days), and Palmichael Classico signature dishes offer three superb steak dishes perfected over the years – Steak Diane, Filetto al Pepe, and Filletto Rossini. All meat, chicken and fish dishes are served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes of the day. Husband and wife team, Darren and Linda have owned The Countryman since May 2022 and have seen the pubs popularity go from strength to strength winning a number of local and national awards. Darren is the Head Chef and along with his team create varied lunch, dinner and Vegan menus containing traditional pub classics as well as dishes with an international twist. Food is lovingly prepared using fresh, locally sourced produce whenever possible and reflects seasonal availability. There is also a regularly changing specials board.
