Over recent years the smartly painted building has been extended and refurbished in contemporary country style to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The entrance leads into a comfortable bar with cosy log burner and tiled floor where ramblers and dogs are most welcome. A stylish dining room is found to the rear overlooking the spectacular moorland countryside. There is also an attractive beer garden, the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a drink in the warmer months.

Open daily, the menus offer a variety of delicious homemade dishes with something for everyone. Choose from a range of quality sandwiches, all served with fresh salad and homemade chips, available throughout the day. The 2 course meal option (served lunch and evening) is always a popular choice. Main meals (evenings only) are a tempting choice of starters, mains, burgers, steaks & grills and desserts. The Sunday roast lunch is not to be missed and the daily chalkboard offers all the classic pub favourites. A children’s menu is available too. Those with dietary requirements are also well catered for and many dishes across the menus are clearly marked gluten free (GF) or can be adapted on request. There is also a separate menu for vegan and vegetarian options. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.

The Royal Oak is a Free House and to accompany your enjoyable dining experience there is an extensive drinks list of wines, beers and spirits.

The White Hart Tearoom is the oldest tearoom in Leek, located in a Grade II listed building dating back to the 1500’s.

The White Hart Tea Room offers an extensive menu and is open daily from 8 a.m. As everything is freshly prepared on the premises we have the flexibility to cater for special dietary requirements. Gluten free and dairy free options are always available as well as dishes suitable for vegetarians and vegans. We are proud to offer such tempting treats as a gluten free “oatcake” – a renowned local delicacy!

In addition to the tea room, when the weather is kind, The White Hart has a secluded outdoor courtyard, an attractive haven for alfresco dining or the perfect place to relax and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine in the sun.

We are family friendly and dogs are most welcome (we even have a Doggy Menu!)

The White Hart is listed in the Coeliac UK Venue guide and has been a regular winner and finalist in the Taste of Staffordshire Awards for Best Staffordshire Tea Room.
