Well located in the Staffordshire village of Branston, The Old Vicarage is a beautiful fine dining restaurant with a well established reputation for superb food and first class service. The imposing Georgian building retains some period features and has been tastefully refurbished to provide an elegant and relaxing interior with stylish decor and furnishings. On entering, a warm welcome awaits in the cosy lounge area where pre-dinner drinks and canapés can be enjoyed. The spacious restaurant is light and airy with lovely views over the attractive lawned garden. There is also a terraced area, the perfect spot to relax with a drink in the warmer months.
Family run since 1999 by husband and wife Karen and Pascal Arnoux, the award winning restaurant is proud to serve fine English cuisine with a French influence. Led by experienced chef Richard Bowers and his dedicated team, delicious meals are created using quality produce sourced locally whenever possible and beautifully presented to your table. Menus are updated each month to reflect seasonal availability and regular themed evenings include a Gourmet experience, Traditional English and French Rustic. There is a choice of menus and the drinks list includes a discerning selection of wines, champagne and cocktails.
Dietary requirements are also well catered for and gluten free (G) and vegetarian (V) options are clearly denoted on the menus. A separate vegan menu is also provided. The attentive and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and to offer advice on menu choice. These include tempting starters, main courses, irresistible desserts and an impressive selection of cheeses, maybe to be enjoyed with a fine port. Following dinner, guests are invited to relax in the lounge with a coffee or brandy, a wonderful way to complete your memorable dining experience at The Old Vicarage.
