It has gained a reputation with locals and visitors alike for its excellent food and drink, warm hospitality and commitment to the local community. Expect not just an impressive menu of pub favourites but various entertainments too such as music, quiz nights, darts competitions and regular bike meets.
The cosy interior boasts traditional character features, warming open fires and an attractive bar. To the rear a spacious patio offers plenty of outside seating for families. The Duke William also provides camping facilities for tents, caravans and motorhomes and is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area and attractions.
The menus offer something for everyone including appetising starters, delicious steaks from the grill with homemade sauces, selection of burgers, homemade pies, chicken, fish dishes, salads, great choice of classic favourites, various sides, and irresistible desserts. Lighter meals are also available and the renowned Sunday carvery is certainly not to be missed! Food is freshly cooked using locally sourced produce whenever possible and carefully presented to your table. Dietary needs are taken very seriously and many gluten free and vegetarian options are available across the menus. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to answer questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and to advise on menu choice.
