Ye Olde Fleece Inn is proud to be one of the oldest remaining pubs in Kendal with origins dating back to 1654. The black and white painted building is very appealing while the interior boasts charm in abundance. Contemporary furnishings blend beautifully with traditional features such as wooden beams, polished floors, open brickwork and historic artefacts creating a cosy, relaxed atmosphere full of character. Everyone is welcome and it is dog friendly too.
This beautiful unique inn, is very popular with locals and visitors alike having gained an excellent reputation for its superb food and attentive service. The talented in-house chefs use locally sourced produce from across the region to ensure fresh, seasonal, home cooked British classic meals of the highest quality. The team are also passionate about catering for special dietary needs including Gluten Free (GF), Vegan (VE) and Vegetarian (VG). 85% of the extensive menus are available Gluten Free and other dishes can be adapted on request (GFO). The Menus offer appetising Starters & Small Plates, a great choice of Burgers, delicious Mains with tasty Sides, handmade stone-baked Sourdough Pizzas (Gluten Free base optional), and irresistible Desserts. Sandwiches, Baguettes & Jacket Potatoes are available on the Daytime Menu only. The renowned Sunday Roast is simply not to be missed and in addition, the drinks menu offers a great selection of real ales, continental and craft beers, wines, spirits and cocktails.
