Owned by the National Trust, this imposing building is located in over 200 acres of stunning wooded parkland with breathtaking views over Snowdonia and Conwy Castle. Extensive and carefully restored gardens feature a rare parterre, several follies, a cascade, walled garden and formal rose garden. Hotel rooms are fittingly stylish and luxurious while the multi award-winning spa, housed in the converted buildings of the original Welsh stone Bodysgallen Farm nearby, provides the ultimate relaxing retreat.
Overlooking the gardens, the tasteful and elegant Dining Room restaurant has been awarded 3 AA Rosettes and gained an enviable reputation near and far for the excellence of its cuisine and first class service. Head Chef Abdalla El Shershaby has created imaginative menus incorporating fresh, seasonal produce and organic fruit and vegetables grown on the Bodysgallen estate. Superb meals for the discerning diner are beautifully presented to your table and complemented by a notable wine list. The dinner menu is served on Wednesday through Sunday, with a less formal reduced dinner menu on Monday and Tuesday. Children over the age of 6 are welcomed. A not-to-be-missed delicious Welsh Afternoon Tea is also served daily – booking essential.
The restaurant team are passionate and committed to catering for those with special dietary requirements and provide gluten free options and separate vegetarian and vegan menus. Choose from a two or three course Bill of Fare offering appetising starters, delicious mains and irresistible desserts. A comprehensive allergen key is included after every item on the menus to carefully inform the diner. The knowledgeable and attentive staff encourage questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and are more than happy to advise on menu choice.
