The attractive pink-painted exterior leads into a spotlessly clean, modern and bright eating area with a relaxed and homely feel. Realising a long held dream, owner Marie has created a wonderful venue providing a range of delicious, freshly made homemade food and cakes using only the finest quality produce and ingredients to eat in or take out. What makes Café 81 even more special is her commitment to cater for dietary needs including gluten free (GF), dairy free (DF), vegetarian (V) and vegan (Ve) plus a choice of Healthier (H) options. Marie understands customers’ concerns over cross-contamination and began her ‘Marie’s Wheat Free’ 5-star rated home-based bakery business where products are made in a totally gluten free environment.
Café 81 offers an extensive menu including breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties & paninis, main meals & snacks plus freshly baked scones and cakes. The delicious Afternoon Tea special is a treat not to be missed! Smaller portions for children can also be provided on many items, please ask. For those with dietary requirements the friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to help and answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients. A fantastic range of GF options are available across the menu at very reasonable prices including a variety of tasty breakfast options freshly made to order. Sandwiches, buns, toasties and bagels come with a choice of fillings. Among main meals and snacks are homemade soup, omelettes, quiche, jacket potatoes, homemade coleslaw, chips and sweet potato fries plus daily specials. Irresistible sweet treats include GF fruit or cheese scones, cheesecake, and a selection of cakes and traybakes. Speciality cakes are also available to order. A choice of gluten free, hearty, vegetarian and vegan afternoon teas are available too, please book in advance. In addition, the drinks menu offers a choice of hot and cold drinks with Lactofree and DF milks available on request.
