With a spectacular seafront location in the popular resort of Trearddur Bay, the former Black Seal restaurant underwent a total refurbishment during 2021 and reopened as Ocean’s Edge in the autumn of that year. Family owned since 2015, the restaurant has gained a reputation with locals and visitors alike for its fantastic food, great service and professional approach.
Split over two levels, the interior is contemporary and stylish with a stunning colour scheme of lagoon blue, rich mellow brown, hints of pastel grey and glamorous lighting which combine to bring the relaxing vibe of the Caribbean. Various seating options allow for intimate corners or larger groups and the feature bar has a great drinks menu including a fantastic selection of cocktails. In May 2023 an extension was added allowing further dining space. The attractive outside spacious patio area is the perfect spot to dine al fresco, simply relax and soak up the amazing view.
The chefs and talented team are proud to offer an extensive menu with Appetizers, Sandwiches, Small Tapas Style Plates, Salads, delicious Mains (steaks, burgers, poultry, fish, pasta) speciality Pizzas, Sides and irresistible Desserts. Those with dietary requirements are also well catered for including gluten free (GFA), vegetarian (V), and vegan (VG) which are clearly marked on the menus. An impressive range of gluten free options are available from Appetizers through to Desserts. A separate dedicated fryer is used for chips and fries. Sandwiches are available on GF bread with choice of filling and a dressed salad, and pizza bases made with GF dough are baked in a separate oven. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and advise on menu choice.
