With a village history stretching back 250 years, the Carpenters Arms has been extensively remodelled to create an amazing contemporary and stylish venue which skilfully retains some traditional character features such as exposed wooden beams and cosy inglenooks. The new stunning glass-walled restaurant to the rear overlooks a delightful terrace garden and provides a light and airy dining space, whilst the open kitchen cooking creates a vibrant atmosphere. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available too, four guest bedrooms offer excellent facilities and a continental-style breakfast is served in the colourful snug.
This venue has quickly gained a reputation with locals and visitors alike for its first class food and drink, great service and professional approach. The talented chef and team are proud to offer delicious British food with a creative twist using premium quality, fresh seasonal produce which is locally sourced whenever possible. Dishes are lovingly prepared and beautifully presented at your table. Lunch and dinner menus offer a selection of appetising Nibbles, Starters, succulent Mains (meat, fish, seafood, poultry, vegetarian), Sides, and tempting Puddings. A Children’s menu is also available. The popular Sunday roast menu is also not to be missed and a Tea & Cake menu is available too. Dietary requirements are well catered for including gluten free (GF), vegetarian (V), vegan (VG) and dairy free (DF) which are clearly marked on the menu. Please make your server aware of any allergies or dietary requests when ordering. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and to advise on menu choice.
