The Golden Cross is a gorgeous, traditional English pub, located in the heart of Coventry. The historic building has a medieval facade and dates back to the 1500’s. It has recently been renovated and the interior and decor of The Golden Cross is stunning and only adds to the buildings historic splendour. It is the traditional Tudor features, the beautiful jettied upper floors with exposed beams and the the amazing Dragon Beam which make this a very special and unique venue. The Golden Cross has deservedly, earned itself an excellent reputation within the area and the team here are so welcoming and this exciting venue will certainly impress you. Whether you are looking for a light bite for lunch, or a more sophisticated evening meal, you will find all this here at The Golden Cross.
With so much on offer here, they believe that everyone should enjoy dining out and eating delicious, home cooked food in a wonderful setting. They are extremely passionate about only using the very finest, freshest local produce, in their cooking. They specialise in serving traditional homemade British cuisine with a twist. They have a fabulous choice of wonderful gluten free dishes on their menus, the food is outstanding and is always cooked to perfection in their now totally gluten free kitchen. The dishes are vibrant, packed with exciting flavour combinations and beautifully presented. Whether you are a coeliac, gluten intolerant, lactose intolerant, vegetarian, or vegan the staff are extremely approachable, knowledgeable and will happily cater for your dietary needs.
There is a fabulous selection of international bottled beers, ciders, lagers, spirits and classic wines available. Why not try one of their amazing gins sourced from all around the world which are delicious and have to be sampled.
There is also live music upstairs, every Saturday from around 9pm or you can relax and enjoy their open mic night on the ground floor every Tuesday between 8 and 11pm.
