Urchins Cafe is housed within The Sealife Centre, a wonderful attraction for families and children located on the seafront in this popular resort town. The nautical themed cafe is modern, spacious and imaginatively designed and decorated with interesting maritime objects, pictures and informative posters. To add to the seaside fun, food is served through hatches representing brightly coloured beach huts.
The full and varied menus provide an all-day breakfast, hot snacks and light bites, salads, main meals and sweet treats. Those requiring gluten free (GF) and dairy free (DF) are very well catered for and separate Mains and Children’s Menus are available with clearly marked options. The friendly and helpful staff are happy to advise you regarding food preparation and ingredients.
The GF Main menu includes the All-Day Breakfast, a selection of snacks (sausage rolls, pasties), and toasted paninis and jacket potatoes with selection of fillings. Among Main meals are Urchins’ superb Beer Battered Fish and Chips, Gammon Steak, and Homemade Lasagne. The GF Children’s Menu includes all their favourites – Sausage, Chips & Baked Beans, Fish Fingers, Chicken Nuggets and Pasta Bolognaise. A selection of GF cakes are available too. A refreshments menu offers hot and cold drinks as well as bottled beers, wines and cider to accompany your meal.
