The Waggon and Horses is a delightful country pub located in the rural village of Oxspring within the beautiful South Yorkshire landscape. Built of mellow Yorkshire stone, the interior is cosy and welcoming with traditional character features including wooden beams, open brickwork and warming log fire. There is also outside seating with shady umbrellas and a children’s play area, the perfect spot to relax with a drink in the warmer months.
The restaurant team are dedicated and are passionate about providing delicious home cooked food using seasonal, locally sourced quality produce whenever possible. Dietary requirements are well catered for and most of the menu items are available Gluten Free or can be adapted on request. Vegetarian, Vegan and Dairy free options are also available. To put your mind at rest, the friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to answer any questions regarding food preparation and ingredients and to advise on menu choice. The impressive Main Menu offers starters, fresh salads, main courses (meat, poultry, fish, pasta dishes), from the Grill (choice of succulent steaks & sauces), Waggon Favourites (traditional dishes including individual pies, burgers, fish & chips, lasagne), Vegetarian dishes and a variety of side orders. The popular Children’s Menu includes an ice cream cone and free gift. Sunday Lunch offers a fantastic choice of roasts and main dishes and is a GF treat not to be missed! In addition, the drinks list offers a great selection of beers, wines and spirits to accompany your enjoyable dining experience.
The Waggon and Horses is truly at the heart of the community and hosts regular events and themed evenings. The Rafters Bar Function Room is also available for any occasion, large or small, with full catering provided by friendly and efficient staff.
